Last week we had some changes in NSW that meant we could no longer get "Build Plate Year or Year of Manufacture". This was important in that the registration number gave us the chassis number and combined with the build pate year we were able to pull further data from Vfacts.
We have adapted the 2.54 MCA app to accommodate this change with minimum inconvenience and even added an optional "additional Build Plate Month" feature for those who would like that also.
Watch this short training video to see how easy the changes are to use. One point to note is that if the vehicle type commonly has a build plate year the same as the Compliance there are no real changes, just select the year at the time of request, press save and all will remain the same. This change occurs when a build plate is a possible a different year to the compliance.
Example is a European or Japanese vehicle maybe compliance January 2017 which will mean it is a 2016 build plate. You may choose that straight away or prefer to go and confirm the build plate year from the plate and possible even add the month and press NEXT, and YES and it will then download the balance of Vfacts information for you.
